ReStore Fire Recovery fund

On July 20th The Steuben County Habitat for Humanity ReStore experienced a devastating Fire. The fire started last night in our donation center and engulfed the entire donation center within a very short period. That half of the building is destroyed with the remaining structure left extremely unstable. The rest of the building was saved however it did experience smoke damage.

The ReStore is Steuben County Habitat for Humanity’s main source of revenue that allows us to build houses for families in our community. We are actively working on two projects at this time. We cannot operate the Restore in any capacity at the building on 414 for the time being. This will create an immediate financial burden on our organization. We have begun working with our insurance company, but this will take time.

Donating will not only help us get us to get the ReStore up and running again but also ensure that the families waiting for the homes we are working on do not experience a delay in being able to move into their homes.

If you are able setting up a monthly recurring donation will greatly help us during this time.

Thank you so much for your love and support.
