Volunteer at the ReStore
Habitat ReStore could not exist without the help of volunteers. We'll make getting involved as easy as possible. Whether you believe you're skilled or 'not so skilled,' have one day each week or just a few hours a month, represent a group or just yourself -- you are needed at Habitat ReStore. Groups and individuals at least 16 years old are welcome to volunteer at the SESC HFH Restore.
Volunteering at the SESC HFH ReStore is fun and worthwhile. We will find the appropriate volunteer position for your abilities, from stocking the shelves, organizing, meeting and greeting the customers, etc. Below is a list of some volunteer positions:
- Individuals Volunteer Positions: Volunteer staff positions are flexible so that they work with your busy schedule. You can even design your own position that highlights your unique skills and interests!
- Group “Team building” Volunteer Positions: Work days can be arranged that are both fun for your group and tackle a 'special project' of the ReStore all at the same time!
- School Service – Student Volunteer Positions: With Saturday and after school hours, ReStore is an excellent place to complete learning service requirements.
- Corporate /Local business Volunteer Positions: Your company can register by group or ReStore opportunities can be shared with individual employees as an option for your company's communityservice program. ReStore participates in corporate match and giving programs, if available, allowing your company to support causes important to your employees.
- Personal Development Volunteer Positions: Some individuals just can't commit to a long-term volunteer position, but that doesn't mean that they can't volunteer. If you only have one Saturday a year, spring or summer breaks from school, or are looking for a one-time family/couples activity, ReStore has the perfect opportunity! These development activities are designed to be completed in just a few hours; giving a real sense of accomplishment. It gives everyone the opportunity to give of their time and contribute to our cause without a long-term commitment.
