Open for business
The Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet where quality used and surplus building materials and household furnishings are sold for a fraction of their original retail value. It is a collaborative recycling and fundraising effort of SESC Habitat for Humanity.
These donated materials are then sold to the general public at a discount of 10% to 50% of the original new-value cost. The proceeds from the sale of these materials through the Habitat ReStore go to support SESC Habitat for Humanity and its building efforts.

Benfits to Local Business
The Habitat ReStore is good for businesses, as well as the environment! This is an opportunity to donate – and receive a tax deduction for – surplus or reusable construction materials that otherwise get lost in storage or thrown out in the landfills (costing you landfill fees).
The ReStore Helps Local Businesses by recycling:
- overstocked materials
- seconds or slightly damaged materials
- gently-used, but too good to throw away
- salvaged building materials
